The above quote seems to have gone wayward these days. I am hearing more and more from people in the corporate world that companies are doing away with senior and in some cases, middle management, at the expense of people having no leadership, no shared responsibility, no collaboration, no team building and growth.

As a result, people in the workplace are unhappy,  undervalued and frustrated because no decisions are been made, great ideas are been neglected or not utilised, processing and group dynamics issues are not been followed up, causing delays and poor productivity overall.

I hear the frustration when people are turning up late or not turning up to meetings at all, with no consequences been given. Computers crashing and no one to fix them because the hired technicians are incompetent.

I hear how people become dissatisfied and under utilised, with no one to vent to, no one listening to them and no one to steer the ship. This results in low, productivity, low grade work and people leaving because their role is untenable.

A bit sad actually, who said structure and leaders have become obsolete? Sure saving money and paying exorbitant salaries to overseas CEOs is hitting the company’s bottom line, but wouldn’t building teams with great leaders steering the teams lead to increased self esteem, more confidence and higher productivity?

Has Australia not got any of its own skilled labour? Hiring  overseas staff  is ignoring the unique clientele or audience of the australian culture.  I believe Australia has plenty of local and great people who have all the skills and assets required to move the company forward. Investing in people power is better than any bottom line because if you take care of your team and your staff, the rest will look after itself. When people are happy in the workplace they are more likely to give more of their time than if they were unhappy, undervalued and unsupported.

Take a look at the video clip below on the “Flight of the Geese” and believe in the power of TEAMWORK -where Together , Everyone, Achieves, More.

I’m talking about action, adventure, animated, slashing bodies, comedy, gothic, paranormal, supernatural, dead people/zombie, scientific, sci fi horror movies etc etc. I believe that watching horror movies lets some evil into your life.

First of all, the devil and evil are very real things. Spiritual warfare, the constant fight between Satan and his legions and God and his angels over human souls, is a very real thing. Demonic possession and haunted houses are real things.  Hollywood does a very good job of dramatizing these situations. As a matter of fact, Hollywood has become so bold and shameless that their movies are becoming more and more graphic, more bloodthirsty and more about evil possession, leaving no boundaries.  I wouldn’t be surprised if it were art imitating real life or even the life of a satanist, evil/demonic possessed individual. Being paranoid about evil constantly, especially if brought upon by a movie, can lead to an obsession with evil, which can lead to allowance of that evil in one’s life. Evil can be transferred from one person to the other.

Even if you are a person in Christ, would you want to be harassed by voices in your head coming from demons? Would you know what prayers to say to cast the demons out? I would say most people wouldn’t.

I have seen a couple of movie sequels to some old movie originals of late. For one, I was shocked at the difference 10 years can make. Second, the sequel to the 30 years old movie, was depressing and I had to leave after half an hour into the movie.

The very few horror movies I have seen, (some unintentional, not knowing the extent of the horror) made life to me seem worthless, they made me feel that there was no point to this life, no purpose, no matter what I did to try to change it. The destruction and horror of everyday life in the movie,  put me in a state of depression, they instilled fear into me, they started playing on my mind. I had to pray and cast out the evil.

Who needs this stuff? Isn’t life bad enough as it is? Isn’t watching the news enough to make you want to get into a bunker and never come out??????

When my kids were growing up I wouldn’t take them or let them watch horror of any kind. I protected them from all this, I thought life dishes out enough problems to us without adding horror to it.

I understand the adrenaline rush that comes from the music building up and then something popping out. But really? Is it worth the sleeplessness and disturbance to your emotional wellbeing?

Surely one can get an adrenaline rush some other perfectly innocent, healthy, wholesome ways, eg. walking along the beach, shopping, exercising, competing in sports, climbing a bridge etc…etc….

Are you hearing voices in your head that keep you awake? If they’re from the other side, you can be sure that they will get louder and louder, that they will cause you a disturbance and even lack of sleep or even suicide.

We need to focus on what is pure, praiseworthy and what is pleasing to God. We need to live a wholesome life and God will catch up with us and reward us with the desires of our hearts.

Tragedy, upon tragedy upon tragedy, upon tragedy.

Image result for faith hope and charity

Despair is something I see often about all sorts of things related to pain, family, children, work, health, death,  money, etc. etc…..because the view is that there is nothing I can do so I might as well give up.  I have never seen anything getting better because of giving up.  We cannot dwell on the past, we can pray about it, we can learn from it and change the future and move forward.

What we all need is HOPE. Hope makes us think of a better way, a better future, hope makes people want to change, make the world  a better place.

Hope is not a virtue  we aspire too much these days.                                                      My philosophy in life is………………………………….. fake it till you make it.

How do I do that?

I pray for help, ask for help, go somewhere else for help, read more, speak to someone who knows more than me about the problem. Try another way. One cannot expect things to change without one doing something about it. God helps those who help themselves.

Hope in a christian context, isn’t just about feeling good and positive, it’s hope in God, trusting in His grace rather than in ourselves.

We can sin against the virtue of Hope through despair. Despair focuses on the problem, instead of God’s grace and power. Despair imagines that God can’t save us, that He doesn’t want to save us. NOT SO!!!! If we deliberately give in to despair, we are disrespecting God, we can fall upon more grief and add to our problems.

Unfortunately, society has become more secular, hedonistic and egotistical.  Hence our problems have increased. Family values have been eroded through the gradual turning away from God and the gospel values of Jesus Christ,  by looking inward rather than outward. Society-turning on itself rather than God. Our values have also been eroded by the media, commercialism and consumerism, by government policies and through sin.

Making raising a family, more and more difficult and challenging. All you have to do is look at how the family unit is breaking down and the more that happens the more problems arise. Why?????? Because the family is the beginning, the place where faith in God is learnt, where love is experienced, where children feel they belong, where values are taught, where problems are shared and solved. If this is not present, where do people turn to? They turn to money, drugs, sex, crime etc.

We need to turn outwards, we need to turn to God. If we keep our eyes firmly fixed on God and His love, then we can’t go wrong.

Courtesy of CATHOLICITY Our Hope of Heaven Through Jesus (1820-1821)

Jesus unfolded Christian hope in the beatitudes, proclaiming that those who suffer trials on earth are blessed in heaven. This hope “does not disappoint” (Rom 5:5) because Jesus has gone ahead “as a forerunner on our behalf” (Heb 6:19-20). Therefore, we can hope to gain heaven and to persevere “to the end” (Mt 10:22). The Church prays for “all men to be saved” (1 Tim 2:4) and she awaits union with Christ, the Bridegroom. “Hope, O my soul, hope. Watch carefully. Dream that the more you struggle, the more you will rejoice one day with your Beloved” (St. Teresa of Avila).

ROME – Italian fashion designer moguls Domenico Dolce and Stefano Gabbana are no strangers to criticism. In late February, the duo made the family the star of their runway, staying true to their Italian roots in family, femininity, and religion.

Dolce said…..“I believe that one cannot have everything in life, if it’s not there it means it’s not meant to be. It’s important to deprive oneself of something,” and continued, “Life has a natural path, there are some things that should not be changed. And one of these is family.”

When two prominent media and fashion moguls speak about their lived experiences, it resonates strongly. Dolce & Gabbana have stood up against a growing hatred for the “NO”voters on same sex marriage.

Kudos to Dolce & Gabbana for speaking the truth and the reality that some people don’t wish to hear or care about, but we do…

Dolce & Gabbana aren’t backing down from pro-family stand

Jesus instituted the family as the safest and best way for children to live and learn and  for the growth of  strong communities  – in an environment supported by a husband and a wife, a mother and a father.  Boys learn to be men by the examples set by their fathers and girls learn to be girls by the examples set by their mothers. The two complement each other. I understand that this is not always the reality and substituting with suitable people of moral character and of both gender, can benefit and prosper the family.

Some people are misrepresenting the words of Jesus, saying that love is love and that Jesus would approve of same sex marriage. I think not, when we follow man made laws we either do or don’t, there is no inbetween, same with the law of God.

The Synoptic Gospels attribute the following quote to Jesus: “Whoever is not with me is against me, and whoever does not gather with me scatters” (Matthew 12:30), as well as its contrapositive, “Whoever is not against us is for us” (Luke 9:50; Mark 9:40).

Prayer In Defense Of Marriage

(Courtesy of the United Conference of Catholic Bishops)

God our Father, we give you thanks
for the gift of marriage: the bond of life and love,
and the font of the family.

The love of husband and wife enriches your Church with children,
fills the world with a multitude of spiritual fruitfulness and service,
and is the sign of the love of your Son, Jesus Christ, for his Church.

The grace of Jesus flowed forth at Cana at the
request of the Blessed Mother. May your Son,
through the intercession of Mary, pour out upon us
a new measure of the Gifts of the Holy Spirit
as we join with all people of good will
to promote and protect the unique beauty of marriage.

May your Holy Spirit enlighten our society
to treasure the heroic love of husband and wife,
and guide our leaders to sustain and protect
the singular place of mothers and fathers
in the lives of their children.

Father, we ask that our prayers
be joined to those of the Virgin Mary,
that your Word may transform our service
so as to safeguard the incomparable splendor of marriage.
We ask all these things through Christ our Lord,

Saints Joachim and Anne, pray for us.

When the hand of God is lifted -You’re on your own

It saddens me that I see much selfishness around me, the  ME, Myself and I. The instant gratification mentality, perfecting the body image, fixated on the way people look and to get what I want at all cost, even if it affects family and friends.

We are of the flesh and sure we are going to fail, sure we are going to forget, sure we are going to make bad choices for ourselves.

Jesus in the glory and honour of God the Father and the Holy Spirit, is all knowing and all powerful. Jesus, in heaven, shares with the Father all authority, judgment, and power. All things belong to Jesus.

If one thinks they can live without Jesus, they are kidding themselves. They are not living their life to the fullest, because man’s power is so limited compared to God’s power. So if you live by your own power……………………. never pray, never seek out Jesus, then you are silently, telling Jesus you don’t need Him, you can do well without Him. So His hand has been lifted off you and then you are on your own.

Image result for Joshua 1:9

Well Oh Boy! Oh Boy! Have I seen God’s hand been lifted? YES!!!!!!! Since I am in public service, I have seen thousands and thousands of students and families go through terrible situations, not because God caused them, but because of their choices, because they were working by their own power and so why should God interfere with that? Has God not given us a free will???????

It is only when you humble yourself before God that He will stop and listen and lift His hand off you and then bless you and work with you. The hand that radiates love, the hand that giveth, the hand that blesses and makes miracles happen.

Jesus never promised that this life would be void of troubles and tribulations but, He promised that if we follow Him He will keep His promises to help and guide us and lead us to our final resting place with Him in heaven.

I believe God wants us to exercise restraint, to go without, to sacrifice for the common good. To give to others and share, to give of oneself unconditionally is what God is looking for. God doesn’t expect us to perfect this because He knows we never will, but to try, fail and get back up and try again and to ask Jesus to help us on our way.

You might think this is a little cheesey but it’s true, this is just one of the many times God has been at work in my life.  Just the other day, I was at a busy, open air market and  I had a chat with the stall holder, finalised my purchases, I got distracted and left my wallet on her large counter.

I was only about 20 metres away when a voice in my head told me to check my bag, a few steps later again the voice told me to check my bag and so I did. Well! My wallet was not there, was it??????? So, I quickly ran back to the stall , but I couldn’t see it, I asked the stall holder if she had seen my wallet, she said no, as I was speaking, another customer interjected and pointed out where my wallet was. Luckily, I went back in good time, I believe that if I had let 5 more minutes pass, my wallet would not have been there, thanks to the warning. So, I believe God put it in my head to help me.

Another time, I was hit on the rear of my car by a truck, and I was in shock,  a complete stranger came to me and asked me if  she could help. She made all the phone calls, took photos and because the car was unroadworthy the stranger drove me home. I could have been hurt badly but I wasn’t, I could have been left there to fend for myself but I wasn’t and to finish the story, my insurance completed all my claims with cash refund within a week.  I have many more stories but I would need to write a book.

But God in our lives is at work moment by moment if we let Him. I ask Him to and I pray everyday to Him, after all this is the reason for my blog, to bring others to God the Father, The Son and Holy Spirit.

So stay in God’s radar and receive His mighty blessings and power because He is at work day by day and moment by moment.

The benefits of practicing gratitude are nearly endless. People who regularly practice gratitude by taking time to notice and reflect upon the things they’re thankful for experience more positive emotions, feel more alive, sleep better, express more compassion and kindness, and even have stronger immune systems. And gratitude doesn’t need to be reserved only for momentous occasions: Sure, you might express gratitude after receiving a promotion at work, but you can also be thankful for something as simple as a delicious piece of pie. Research by UC Davis psychologist Robert Emmons, author of Thanks!: How the New Science of Gratitude Can Make You Happier, shows that simply keeping a gratitude journal—regularly writing brief reflections on moments for which we’re thankful—can significantly increase well-being and life satisfaction.(Courtesy of Happify Daily)

How many times do we takes things for granted, living our lives as if there were no tomorrow? How many times to we busily go about our daily life and then something happens and it shatters us to the core.

But if you are Christ centred then you  will be able to cope better and keep sadness, and depression  away because it’s when we give thanks and praise to the creator that we receive what we need and if it’s not what we need, it’s because God has a better plan for you. A plan better than the one you mapped out for yourself, if you believe. It’s only when we stop to smell the roses, share what we have that we get to appreciate the things we love.

How do we do that?

1. Keep a digital gratitude journal

There are a number of apps that focus on cultivating a spirit of thankfulness. The Gratitude! app challenges users to write five things they’re grateful for every day. Developers say that recording gratitude consecutively for three weeks creates a brighter outlook and a new habit of happiness. Plus, it’s pretty cool to be able to look back on all of the things that made you thankful. Other apps to try include Gratitude 365 and The Gratitude Journal.

2. Take a thankfulness challenge

Chances are you’ve seen one of these challenges floating around your Facebook news feed at one point or another. The premise is simple: every day, for a week, or two weeks, or a month, post what you’re thankful for. Hesitant to be so public? Try private messaging different friends every day, letting them know why you’re grateful to have them in your life.

3. Get some Twitter inspiration

When Thanksgiving rolls around, many people turn to Twitter to share the reasons why they’re thankful, but several trending hashtags prompt sharing your appreciation all year long. Follow the hashtags #AttitudeofGratitude, #WhyImThankful, and #Thankful to read through thousands of reasons why people all over the world are giving thanks. Tweet your own to join the uplifting conversation.

4. Master the “thank you” email

While it’s no handwritten letter, sending a short “thank you” email can be a huge pick-me-up for someone in the middle of a long day. Thank a coworker for his or her hard work preparing for the morning meeting, or send digital appreciation to your roommate for listening to your worries about tomorrow’s big presentation. Knowing someone’s thinking of you makes a person feel all warm and fuzzy inside.

5. Pay it forward

Random acts of kindness work in the digital world, too. Browse through Kickstarter campaigns, and donate a few dollars towards somebody’s dream of opening a gallery or creating a documentary. Visit, a fundraising platform where people raise money for loved ones in need. Can’t contribute financially? Share a story that speaks to your heart and offer words of encouragement.

Thank you, Lord, for the blessings you have bestowed on my life. You have provided me with more than I could ever have imagined. You have surrounded me with people who always look out for me. You have given me family and friends who bless me every day with kind words and actions. They lift me up in ways that keep my eyes focused on you and make my spirit soar.

Also, thank you, Lord, for keeping me safe. You protect me from those things that seem to haunt others. You help me make better choices, and you have provided me with advisors that help me with the difficult decisions. You speak to me in so many ways so that I always know you are here.

And Lord, I am so grateful for keeping those around me safe and loved. I hope that you provide me with the ability and sense to show them every day how much they matter. I hope that you give me the ability to give to them the same kindness they have provided to me. I am just so grateful for all of your blessings in my life, Lord. I pray that you remind me of just how lucky I am, and that you never allow me to forget to show my gratitude in prayer and returned kind acts. Thank you, Lord. In your name, Amen.

Many people and reports I have read, seem to have got onto this bandwagon that you can change your sex given at birth, later on in life, according to how you feel. The report below shows clearly, that this is all misleading and bringing more confusion to the problem of gender dysphoria. All we have heard in the media are theories, with a life changing decision that requires surgery, intrusive procedures, drugs  etc… wouldn’t you want to rely on scientific data? Feelings like Patrick had,(see below) are psychological and should be treated as such, not with a sex change.

The Patrick Mitchell’s story viewed on 60 Minutes in Australia-on Sunday-10th September, was backed up with scientific stats and figures. It gave proof that you can change your appearance but you cannot change what’s on the inside. So then, according to the Safe Schools Programme in schools here in Australia, children like Patrick, who are confused, will have to role play being a male/female depending on their feelings, cross dress, change his pronoun, be indoctrinated to accept that it’s normal, all to confuse him more as to what gender he is. The report did mention that he was suicidal prior to him transgending back to a male. Professor Whitehall a leading paediatrician,  makes a lot of sense. He said that children grow out of gender dysphoria, given the right support, not what’s on trend.                                        The 60 minutes report- PATRICK MITCHELL’S STORY CLICK here

more scientific information on gender dysphoria-click here

The media is not after your well being, but sensationalism. Politicians are worried about votes, doctors are not necessarily focussed on your total wellbeing and in the 60 Minutes report above, doctors are over diagnosing the gender dysphoria theory, which that’s all it is- A theory.
