Some people say to me that they hate their jobs, hate their lives, hate their friends, can’t afford to pay their bills, their wives/husbands are mean to them, the kids are playing up etc. etc…. No one is immune to life’s challenges, we all go through this in life. I do get it!

Some people struggle all their lives and never seek God out. But perhaps they don’t realize that during those moments when we struggle, we need God more.

Some people I’ve met, think that they are all in control and they can do it all. How wrong could they be? We have limited knowledge and power, God has infinite knowledge and power. God gave us His Son Jesus to help us fight battles in our lives through the cross, so why wouldn’t you take the lead?

But one cannot expect things to change without us first making changes in our lives. God is not going to change, but through prayer God will help align His will with our will. God will help us change and cope better with difficulties that we may find in life. God will give us the strength to cope, grow and change. God may also grant you favours and a miracle if it’s part of His plan.

In saying that, God doesn’t want us to suffer, He wants us to stay close to Him, persevere and be steadfast and He will clear the path for us.

If God can build mountains, create the heavens and the earth, part the Red Sea, make the Sun shine on a daily basis, surely He can help us.

Recently a friend developed a sore knee, he had to walk on crutches, it was getting worse and it was so badly swollen that the doctors said that there could be muscle and nerve damage, that if the swelling didn’t come down soon, they would have to operate. On a another visit the nurse asked him if he believed in Jesus. My friend said YES, he did! The nurse prayed over him in the name of Jesus Christ and after a day the swelling came down without any intervention. The doctors couldn’t believe it and said other cases never turned out like this, they were astonished!!!!! This morning my husband saw him and he looked as if nothing had ever happened, now this is a matter of a week from the time is first happened to full recovery.

Evil as a result of sins we have committed or sins our family and friends have committed against us, can manifest in us in a physical way, sin can affect our physical, emotional and spiritual well-being. So forgiveness and repentance is needed also (see older posts under HEALING).

The problem is that our perspective is limited.

  • God is infinite, we are finite.
  • God sees the whole, we see only the part.
  • God’s ways aren’t our ways. Is. 55:8-9 “for my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways,  For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways, and my thoughts than your thoughts.”
  • God in His wisdom allows sorrow to come into our lives and we must remember that His plan is best.                              Here’s the evidence
  • Psalm 46:1

“God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble.”

    Psalm 68:6

“God sets the solitary in families; He brings out those who are bound into prosperity; but the rebellious dwell in a dry land.”

    Proverbs 3:5-6

“Trust in the LORD with all your heart, and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge Him, and He shall direct your paths.”

    Matthew 7:7

“Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you.”

     Hebrews 4:15-16

“For we do not have a High Priest who cannot sympathize with our weaknesses, but was in all points tempted as we are, yet without sin. Let us therefore come boldly to the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy and find grace to help in time of need.”

    Hebrews 13:5-6

“Let your conduct be without covetousness; be content with such things as you have. For He Himself has said, ‘I will never leave you nor forsake you.’ So we may boldly say: ‘The LORD is my helper; I will not fear. What can man do to me?’”

So going back to the heading…….”You reap what you sow in this life, ” I mean that if you don’t have faith then healing can’t happen, if there is no prayer and staying close to Jesus then it means you don’t care for Jesus’power in your life, if you don’t live out your faith and do good works for God then you are not a follower but a fan. My friend is not exclusive, the healing power of God is available to all.

FAMILY AND FRIENDS DON’T BELIEVE IN YOU, DON’T BELIEVE IN GOD? HE CAN GIVE THEM A NEW HEART

I was born into the faith and I have had my share of ups and downs in life just like everybody else, I have questioned my faith at times too.  I can earnestly say that if it weren’t for my faith, I wouldn’t know where I’d be now. Today I am at peace because I know God is taking care of things for me and my family. I know God is working because He answers my prayers.

I’ve noticed that when people are at the end of their tether, they find themselves in great despair, that’s because they are working by their own power. God’s almighty power can help us through our trials and tribulations if we have faith and pray. He has given us His Son Jesus Christ to fight our battles, Jesus can command his angels and bring forth peace, joy, restoration and renewed faith. Jesus said……….   ” I am the way the truth and the life” (John 14:6)

I recently saw this great movie based on real life events see (other post under Movies:_”The case for Christ”) where the husband was an unbeliever and the wife started to believe in God when she met a nurse in a hospital who helped her child. Her search for God caused problems in their relationship, the husband preferred the old wife, but things started to change……… So this movie reminded me of a great bible quote (see below     EZEKIEL 36:26).                                                       Things changed when the wife prayed this bible quote. Similarly, if you have a family member or friend who doesn’t believe, pray the above bible quote and give them to God.Image result for A STONY HEART TO A HEART OF GOD

THIS IS WHAT IT MEANS……. A new heart; a renewed frame of soul, a disposition and mind changed from sinful to holy, from evil to good, from carnal to spiritual.

A new spirit: tells us what the new heart is…. a new holy frame in the spirit of man, which is put in him, not found in him; given to him, not wrought by his own power.

The stony heart;  that is hardened by the deceitfulness of sin; this evil heart shall be taken away, and this God will do, who only can do it.

Out of your flesh, put for the man,  that is, a heart different from the stony, hard heart, receiving the impress of God, as softened wax receiveth the impress of the seal.       ( Matthew Henry Bible Commentary)

IF YOU HAVE ANY QUESTIONS PLEASE LET ME KNOW AND I WILL DO MY BEST TO ANSWER THEM. GOD BLESS YOU

M-IS FOR MIRACULOUS

Yes, I’m referring to Mary the Mother of Jesus and the mother of us all. Jesus had the utmost respect for women. He had women in his ministry, Jesus appeared to women first at the resurrection. Jesus was surrounded by many women and Marys during His ministry. If God has elevated Mary to queen of heaven then she has influence.

Some people think that I worship Mary, NO!!!!!!!!! I  love, I aspire, I appreciate, I honour Mary because Jesus loved her and because He gave her to us as our Mediatrix and  intercessor.

When Jesus started his three year ministry it began at the wedding at Cana. Mary felt the embarrassment of the parents and asked Jesus to turn the water into wine. Jesus didn’t ignore her, He listened and did as Mary told Him. So that propelled Jesus as the miracle worker. So then we can say that Mary is our ally, Mary works for us, Mary is our intercessor. Why????????? Because Jesus loved Her. If you love the Son then you love the mother, because Jesus came from God first- His divine nature and from Mary-His human nature.

Now it has been said that the miraculous medal of Mary has been attributed to many miracles. Let’s get this clear first, God is the Almighty, God gave Jesus His powers, Jesus gave Mary the power too. Jesus’miraculous power can work through people just look at the saints,  Jesus works through Mary too. So by wearing or placing this medal in your car, or house, or your children’s room and with a heart of faith and prayer Mary can intercede for you too.  (nothing happens without faith). Look at the medal and all it’s symbols (see attachment below) where she brings Jesus with her ( please also refer to the testimony of Father Scheier at his judgement day when he was declared dead and Mary came to his rescue).

The Meaning of the Miraculous Medal

The medal is striking because Our Lady herself presented the familiar design.

The front of the medal depicts Mary standing on a globe, with the head of a serpent beneath her feet. Circling the oval-shaped medal is the signature, “O Mary, conceived without sin, pray for us who have recourse to thee.” On the reverse, twelve stars surround a large “M,” from which a cross arises. Below the “M,” the medal depicts two flaming hearts. The left heart, circled with thorns, represents Jesus. The right heart, pierced by a sword, symbolizes Mary.

An Unlikely Helper
By what intervention and through what vessel did the Blessed Mother convey the design of this medal? As in the case of The Divine Mercy revelations to St. Faustina, a young, unassuming nun in 1930s Poland, once again God chose an unlikely helper. Nearly 100 years earlier, He selected a 24-year-old novice in the community of Sisters known as the Daughters of Charity, Paris, France, in 1830.

The extraordinary story begins on the night of July 18, 1830, when a mysterious child awakens Sister Catherine Laboure. The child leads her to the convent’s chapel. There, Sister Catherine sees the Virgin Mary, sitting in a chair. She kneels beside Mary, and rests her hands in the Virgin’s lap. The two speak for several hours. During the conversation, Mary promises she will return and give the young nun “a mission.” The child leads Catherine back to her bed. Catherine hears the clock strike 2 a.m., July 19.

A little more than four months later, Sister Catherine learns what Mary wants.

During her evening meditation on Nov. 27, 1830, Catherine has a vision of Mary standing in a position similar to the depiction on the medal. Later, the vision changes to include the inscription found on the front side of the medal.

Mary speaks to Catherine, saying, “Have a medal struck upon this model. Those who wear it will receive great graces, especially if they wear it around their neck.”

Iconic Attraction
It was as Mary said. The medal’s effects were immediate.

The first medals were made in 1832 and distributed throughout Paris. According to the Association of the Miraculous Medal, the blessings that Mary promised “began to shower down” on wearers of the medal. The devotion spread rapidly. In 1836, a Church investigation declared the apparitions to be genuine.

Since Mary asked Catherine to have the medal struck, devotion to the Miraculous Medal has spread the world over, the image having achieved iconic stature.

But what does the medal mean? In answering that, one discovers why it works.

The Front Side
• Mary stands on a globe, crushing a serpent beneath her feet. Describing the original vision, Catherine said the Blessed Mother appeared radiant as a sunrise, “in all her perfect beauty.”
• Rays shoot out from Mary’s hands, which she told Catherine, “… symbolize the graces I shed upon those who ask for them.”
• Words from the vision form an oval frame around Mary: “O Mary, conceived without sin, pray for us who have recourse to thee.”
Seen as a matrix, the elements of the front design encapsulate major Marian tenets:

Quality of Our Lady As Illustrated by the Medal
• Mother Her open arms, the “recourse” we have in her
• Immaculate The words, “conceived without sin”
• Assumed into Heaven She stands on the globe
• Mediatrix Rays from her hands symbolizing “graces”
• Our Protection Crushes the serpent (Gn. 3:15)

The Reverse Side
• A cross-and-bar surmounts a large, bold “M”
• 12 stars disperse around the perimeter
• Two hearts are depicted underneath the “M,” the left lapped with a crown of thorns, the right skewed by a sword. From each, a flame emanates from the top. Again, employing a grid analysis, we can see how the reverse-side design contains great symbolism reflecting major tenets of the Catholic faith.

Design Element and its Catholic Meaning
• The large letter “M” — Mary as Mother, Mediatrix.
• Cross and bar — Jesus’ cross of Redemption.
• 12 stars — 12 Apostles, who formed the first Church.
• Left Heart — The Sacred Heart, who died for our sins.
• Right Heart — The Immaculate Heart, who intercedes for us.
• Flames — The burning love Jesus and Mary have for us.

JESUS TAKES AWAY THE PAIN THE OTHERS CAN’T REACH

WE ALL LIVE IN A PHYSICAL AND SPIRITUAL WORLD. YOU MUST REALISE THAT WE ARE IN A SPIRITUAL BATTLE, A BATTLE THAT WE HAVE TO FIGHT EVERYDAY!!!!!!

BECAUSE OF THE ”FALL OF MANKIND,” THE ENEMY WILL DO EVERYTHING IN HIS POWER TO DERAIL YOU, TO CONFUSE YOU, TO PUT OBSTACLES IN YOUR WAY, TO BRING FEAR AND DOUBT INTO YOUR LIFE ALL THE TIME. HIS MISSION IS TO KEEP YOU AWAY FROM GOD. JUST THE MENTION OF HIS SON JESUS CHRIST WILL SEND PANIC INTO THE DEMONIC WORLD.

BEFORE JESUS CAME SATAN RULED THE WORLD! THE WORLD HAD GOTTEN SO WICKED BUT, GOD SO LOVED US  THAT HE SENT HIS ONLY SON JESUS CHRIST TO REDEEM US. AT THAT POINT JESUS RESTORED THE BALANCE AND NOW BECAUSE OF THE CROSS,WE HAVE THE POWER OF JESUS TO HEAL US. SATAN LOST HIS POSITION AND HAS DECLARED WAR. WAR AGAINST HUMANITY!

This is heavy stuff and I am sorry if I sound over the top, you might think I’m crazy but it doesn’t matter to me, because my purpose is to heighten your awareness and understanding so that you may experience healing and be empowered to be the best version of yourself.

Since I know this, I really don’t want to keep it to myself, because I care about people and their salvation is too important.

So you’ve got wounds, I’ve got wounds, yes!!!!!! we’ve all got them! NO ONE IS IMMUNE. Some are small, some are big. Some just niggle at us while others run deep, so deep that we suppress them because they are too painful to bring them to the surface.

The wounds we have may have been passed onto to us from our parents generational line. They may be words that have been spoken over us from family members, friends or work colleagues. They may have also come from curses, from promises or words that we have spoken over ourselves. For example, I’m never going to fall in love with another man again! I’ll never trust anyone! I’m not good at this!!!! I can’t do this!! I’ll never become………… etc……………..words spoken go into the spirit world and they become legal and binding!!!!   Of course this allows legal entry for the enemy to use these words to harass you.

So then, we stumble, we fall, we make mistakes, if we continually and habitually do the wrong thing over and over again it mostly likely could be harassment. We may become fearful of other people, untrusting or we just shut people out, we avoid things, we go without, we make excuses etc., etc.,

The wounds we carry may be a result of sin, sin that we have chosen or sin from the result of other people. Now, I’m not professing that you play the blame game here. It’s a way of identifying and understanding  your position and the work of the enemy in our lives.

FORGIVENESS AND REPENTANCE PLAY A HUGE ROLE IN THIS AS THEY DIMINISH THE POWER OF THE ENEMY

The wounds we have may manifest in mood swings, restlessness, sadness, headaches, sleeplessness and more……depending on how big they are. Certain behaviours may be triggered when we hear a word or experience that will take us back to the point of the wound. Often we don’t know or can’t explain why we feel or behave in a particular way, suicidal thoughts,  sleeplessness, a deep sadness, inability to relate to others. THESE FEELINGS WILL STAY WITH YOU UNTIL YOU OPEN YOUR HEART TO JESUS AND INVITE HIM IN to the point of the wound..   TO SHOW YOU AND HEAL IT

( Please go to previous posts for blockages to healing).

In John 14:6 it is written….. Jesus answered him, “I am the way, the truth, and the life; no one goes to the Father except by me.

So I say to you live your best life now, not live unhappily, not live in fear, not live in darkness and loneliness because Jesus knows every little thing about you because He died to know you. This information has helped many people I know and I pray that it will help all those who have a heart for God and Jesus Christ.

Please share, if you have questions please ask. I believe to be quite sane, I have held a teaching position for 35 years and still in it! God bless You and heal you all through His Son Jesus Christ!!

Believe in the power of God not men!!!

You can sell ice to an eskimo, you can talk and sell your skills and talents,  but you will never win the spiritual battle if you don’t put your faith in God.

Jesus Christ, David and Goliath, The one leper, Joseph-The foster father of Jesus, who obeyed the Lord without question. Daniel, Mary Magdala  and more all put their faith in God. They all knew they had supernatural power by their side. No matter how weak or ineffective you might feel, you have large wings under your little wings working for you. All you need do is surrender and have faith.

TEN LEPERS HEALED, ONE LEPER SAVED

It has been said that the one leper who was healed, had a blessed life, he was grateful for the miracle and for the love and compassion shown to him by Jesus Christ. He went back to his family, to his village and lived a life of faith and gratitude and died a happy life. It has been said that the ungrateful, unbelieving nine others, had terrible lives afterwards. One of the nine slipped and fell and hurt his head and died soon after. Another had a family who would not accept him , another could not find work and died of famine, another got into debt and was killed, another did not believe he had been fully cured and continually complained, another got in with bad company and was miserable, another lied his way through life and denied the power of Jesus believing that he was cured naturally, another cursed Jesus and was struck blind and another couldn’t care less and did not recognise the miracle that had just happened and  was never satisfied.

So you might say, “What does this have to do with me?” God bestows us with gifts and supernatural healing when we put our faith into action and follow in Jesus’ footsteps. When we pray and humble ourselves before God, when we surrender and ask God to solve our problems, when we thank and praise our creator God, when we live a life that is pleasing to God through Jesus Christ His Son, it does  not go unnoticed.

The Bible speaks often of miraculous healings through the work of Jesus Christ and through faith in God. Scripture encourages us and helps us focus on finding comfort through the healing of Christ both spiritually and physically.

Prayer has healing power through living out the gospel according to Jesus Christ.

Where are you God??????

Often when we come across difficult times and face the darkest days of our lives and can’t see the end, we ask ourselves where are you God???? This beautiful reflection called “FOOTPRINTS” which has been immortalised in plates, cards etc…..based on the story of Moses,  is so pertinent to all of us. It has been my strength.

If you submit yourself to God and allow God to do His work in your life, He will show you His mighty power in due course.

Read the poem footprints below. Then recall the many times that He has taken you through the difficult times Thank Him for carrying you all the way…though His footprints may not be seen!

I’d love to read your comments, so let me know what you think. God Bless You!!

COUNT YOUR BLESSINGS AND NOT YOUR WORRIES!

Ecclesiastes 3:1

YOUR BAD DAYS ARE SOMEONE’S GOOD DAYS!                         Count your blessings and you’ll soon forget your troubles

Pray and give your troubles to God. I know that there will be days of tribulation but they will pass. Not believing in God’s abundance gives insult to God. Give thanks for His Son Jesus, because Jesus is everything……………..now as I’m writing this,  the prayer to St. Teresa of Avila comes to mind because it has got me through some tough times. So here it is. God works through others.

Helen Keller:

……………………………….and being thankful and humble brings glory to God.

I’ll leave you with this beautiful song from an old favourite by Bing Crosby
