Saul of Tarsus a pharisee with allegiance to the evil Roman empire was persecuting christians some 30 odd years after Jesus Christ had died, Saul was travelling on the road from Jerusalem to Damascus on a mission to “arrest more Christians and bring them back to Jerusalem” when the resurrected Jesus appeared to him in a great light. He was struck blind, Jesus asked Saul “Why are you persecuting me?” After three days his sight was restored by Ananias of Damascus. This just magnified the power of Christ and his demands of Saul. He converted and went on to preach the gospel according to Jesus Christ.
Saul whose name became Paul, was beautifully and sensitively portrayed by James Faulkner. Luke Ápostle of Christ during Jesus’ ministry, was played by Jim Caviezel who was the greek physician and healer who came to Saul to get the last wisdoms from him before his execution from Nero the emperor of Rome.
After Luke and Paul through prayer, heal the jailer _Mauritius’ daughter, there is another conversion from him and his family.
This is an perfect example of directors and writers who remain true to the bible truths referencing to the catholic bible- the first and purest to be written, in giving us a heartfelt movie that captures the spirit of Jesus Christ.

PAUL FINISHED THE RACE AND KEPT THE FAITH “He wrote 13 of the New Testament letters and travelled more than 10,000 miles by foot to preach the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
I loved this movie and I was moved by Paul’s wisdom, his love of Jesus Christ and his letters that stay true to Christ’s message of LOVE that conquers all evil.
The sad thing is that nothing has changed and christians today all over the world are still being persecuted. Some are physically tortured while others like me, are feeling the squeeze because of the increase in secularism and the beliefs that I have which are not in line with populous views, ie. abortion, marriage, family, euthanasia to name a few. This movie just gave me hope and faith to keep going and finish the race. In the name of Jesus Christ I pray that more will be converted and be saved.
