Believe in the power of God not men!!!

You can sell ice to an eskimo, you can talk and sell your skills and talents,  but you will never win the spiritual battle if you don’t put your faith in God.

Jesus Christ, David and Goliath, The one leper, Joseph-The foster father of Jesus, who obeyed the Lord without question. Daniel, Mary Magdala  and more all put their faith in God. They all knew they had supernatural power by their side. No matter how weak or ineffective you might feel, you have large wings under your little wings working for you. All you need do is surrender and have faith.

It has been said that the one leper who was healed, had a blessed life, he was grateful for the miracle and for the love and compassion shown to him by Jesus Christ. He went back to his family, to his village and lived a life of faith and gratitude and died a happy life. It has been said that the ungrateful, unbelieving nine others, had terrible lives afterwards. One of the nine slipped and fell and hurt his head and died soon after. Another had a family who would not accept him , another could not find work and died of famine, another got into debt and was killed, another did not believe he had been fully cured and continually complained, another got in with bad company and was miserable, another lied his way through life and denied the power of Jesus believing that he was cured naturally, another cursed Jesus and was struck blind and another couldn’t care less and did not recognise the miracle that had just happened and  was never satisfied.

So you might say, “What does this have to do with me?” God bestows us with gifts and supernatural healing when we put our faith into action and follow in Jesus’ footsteps. When we pray and humble ourselves before God, when we surrender and ask God to solve our problems, when we thank and praise our creator God, when we live a life that is pleasing to God through Jesus Christ His Son, it does  not go unnoticed.

The Bible speaks often of miraculous healings through the work of Jesus Christ and through faith in God. Scripture encourages us and helps us focus on finding comfort through the healing of Christ both spiritually and physically.

Prayer has healing power through living out the gospel according to Jesus Christ.

Hercules Actor Kevin Sorbo’s Miracle Healing –

The problem with us sometimes is that we settle for so little. God is rich and abundant in love, mercy, wisdom and power. He wants greatness for us all, but we may feel unworthy, not good enough or sinful and not deserving. WRONG!!!!

God has stored riches and gifts for us in heaven, they have  our names on them, all we have to do is claim them.

Don’t say….” I can’t do anything, I’m not good at it, I don’t have talent”. Just believe in the talents and gifts God’s given you. It really doesn’t matter what they are as long as they bring Glory to God, in whatever shape or form they may be. God will meet you where you’re at, the more you step out in faith, the more God will bestow riches upon you.

He gives power to the faint, and strengthens the powerless. Even youths will faint and be weary, and the young will fall exhausted; but those who wait for the Lord shall renew their strength, they shall mount up with wings like eagles, they shall run and not be weary, they shall walk and not faint.”
-Is 40:29-31

If you don’t know what your gifts and talents are, ask God to show you in a way that you can’t deny. Ask God to prosper each step you take.  God does not go back on His promises, like a loving father wants good for all his children so does God what the best for us.

How do we do that, you might ask? Pray! Ask God to align your will with His will, read the WORD, praise God and His Son Jesus Christ, have faith that God is working in your life, say thank-you, do good works in Jesus’ name, tithing, bring glory to God. You just have to have a plan, start little and ask for God to give you the strength and He will bring you to greatness and bestow those gifts He has stored up for you.  I love the parable of the pencil (link below) for inspiration.

Ephesians 2:4 But God‘s mercy is so abundant, and his love for us is so great.

Together everyone achieves more !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

You can apply the above quote to any area of your life, to your relationships, a husband and wife who work together can grow a family and prosper it. At work you can delegate and use the talent you have before you and achieve more. In your church you can grow the kingdom of God and inspire or touch others. One never knows how far reaching a word, a kind gesture can be or where it may lead.

Take Jesus for example, would his teachings have been as effective if it hadn’t been for the good, the bad and the ugly that came out of the people back then or his twelve disciples? I don’t think so, the ugly bits were necessary to show how we don’t have to be perfect like Peter. Judas didn’t have to end it because Jesus would have forgiven him. Mary Magdalene had seven demons cast out and she was the first Jesus appeared to at his resurrection, all because she had faith. Zaccheus gave more than he took to make amends for his sins. So, my point is that we need one another, work together even though sometimes things may turn bad but with prayer God will raise us up. God can renew us by chiselling away what He deems unnecessary, so that He can build us up to be better, stronger and wiser.

The reflection below is of the habit of the geese, but I think we can all learn from it and apply the same principles to our own lives.

Let me know what you think:)

A spirit of generosity…Work so you may give and receive

As you give to others God will multiply and give back to you abundantly.

I know it’s hard sometimes to give when you don’t have much yourself. I have been there I understand and I think most of us know when it’s pay week and we just scrape through.  I try to give and I always have more, either a family member gives me money unexpectedly, a bonus comes through, or money that I had forgotten I put away or I might sell something on Ebay…..

God’s abundance operates through giving and receiving  and in our willingness to give that which we seek, God bestows abundance upon us and circulating it in and out of our lives.

I will also be open to receiving from others, whether it be in the form of a material gift, money, a compliment, or a prayer. I try to keep wealth circulating in my life by giving and receiving life’s most precious gifts: the gifts of caring, affection, appreciation, and love. Each time I see someone or meet someone, I will silently wish them happiness, joy, and laughter and good health and of course tithing to keep the church going so that together we can grow God’s kingdom.

It’s true what they say that there is as much pleasure in giving as there is in receiving.

Wherever I go, and whomever I encounter, I will bring them a gift. The gift may be a compliment, a flower, or a prayer.

Below is part of ANDREW BOLT’S report                                                                     SATURDAY, 16TH JULY- HERALD SUN REPORT -COLUMN                         We cannot keep living in this fear”

We in the West cannot live like this. We cannot keep living in this fear of catching a plane, standing in a crowd or even opening our mouths.

We cannot keep making excuses for these attacks — in New York, Paris, Brussels, Bali, Sydney, Melbourne, Boston, London, Madrid, Orlando and dozens more of our cities.

Nor can we keep letting in carriers of a faith whose most dogmatic believers wish to destroy us.

What madness is this “tolerance” of ours that we deem it rude to even discuss the warlike religion that licenses our destruction and demands an end to our most cherished liberties?

And if our politicians will not speak frankly and protect us from Islam, watch out for a civil war. A frightened public will not put up with this for much longer and will defend themselves.(read more in today’s Herald Sun)

Good on you Andrew Bolt for having the boldness and sincerity to speak the truth!

Why is it that some Muslims become Islamists and some Islamists turn to violence?

Andrew Bolt has said….. “We don’t need any more hate preachers in our country.” I don’t even know why they are allowed to set foot in this country? Why is it that they have all this freedom? Their views are offensive to our way of life, to our liberties. It’s become so big, it’s grown to world status and yet we have to keep quiet because we may offend them.   …… ISIS, also known as ISIL, stands for the Islamic State In Iraq and The Levant and Islamic State. So both radicals and ISIS are fighting in the name of Islam, this philosophy has become widespread and what are their leaders doing about it? No much by the looks of things! Why don’t they do more to stop the radicalisation?

I am a product of migration…..second generation that is… parents taught me not to bite the hand that feeds you…..We didn’t expect any handouts, we just came so that we could work hard and better ourselves. We are so grateful and respectful that Australia has given us all that and to many more other migrant families I know. So, I have to quote JFK who preached out of love for his country, saying not to expect your country to hand things to you on a platter . “Ask not what your country can do for you, but what you can do for your country.”

Right now as I write, there are christian volunteers and religious serving in the Middle East who are been persecuted, christian churches destroyed and we have to keep quiet because we may offend. I don’t see much been done to protect the christian volunteers and religious in those countries!!!! For the election both parties didn’t even promise that they would treat this as a priority! Yet refugees have to be taken care of, Fine!!!! Where’s the justice then???

burning_virtual_prayer_candleIn times of fear, it is important to remember that God is in control. Trust in God and your fear will fade.                                                                                                             I PUT MY TRUST IN GOD NOT PEOPLE!!!!!

Here are some bible verses to help when fear and terror strikes:

“For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind.” 2 Timothy 1:7

“God is our refuge and strength, A very present help in trouble. 2 Therefore we will not fear, Even though the earth be removed, And though the mountains be carried into the midst of the sea.” Psalm 46: 1-2

“When you lie down, you will not be afraid; Yes, you will lie down and your sleep will be sweet. 25 Do not be afraid of sudden terror, Nor of trouble from the wicked when it comes; 26 For the Lord will be your confidence, And will keep your foot from being caught.” Proverbs 3:24-26

All religions reflect a ray of truth which enlightens all men, but Jesus is the complete truth, Jesus is the way the truth and the life (John 14:6).                       Everything else is a distraction.

Jesus the beloved Son of God, Jesus the one and only begotten son of God (John 3:16), Jesus the teacher, Jesus the healer, Jesus the redeemer, Jesus the miracle worker, Jesus who won life over death, Jesus the absolute truth, Jesus the good shepherd, Jesus the sacrificial lamb, Jesus the saviour, Jesus the life giver, Jesus the alpha and the omega, Jesus the anointed one,  Jesus the Messiah, that’s who I want beside me.(see older post below for more titles)

Jesus died and rose to new life. Jesus has appeared to many people especially during the post resurrection period.  The disciples were not, of course, the only ones who had visions of Jesus after he died. The disciples weren’t the only ones to hear the message that He was with His Father God and that He  has made a place for us.  People continued to see Jesus alive afterwards and continue to see Him today. Anything else would be a huge risk. Are you willing to risk your eternity?

I have chosen one testimony, I have more, but how long is a piece of string? Click on the link below.

Pray and hope for yourself and then for the person down the road

Today I asked God to show me how I can be a blessing to others. So I went to the the shopping centre and I had noticed a dramatic change in one of the stores. It wasn’t vibrant and popping with colour, the shelves looked sparse and the person behind the counter was not who I remembered. While I was browsing, I heard the person behind the counter talk to one of his regulars, it wasn’t a comfortable conversation but he told the customer that he was closing shop.

Well, I have been doing prayer healing for four years now, so when I heard this, my heart leapt and my immediate response was to reach out to the owner. So I did, I asked him what was happening and he told me his sad story. He told me that he bought the business and the papers were all legitimate and after the trial run, everything looked fine but apparently they weren’t. Business was not as it seemed, he couldn’t pay the rent, the centre management was on his back and that he was on the verge of losing his house. He told me that he had been a good person all his life, worked as a teacher for many years and this was his life change. I asked him if he was a praying man and he said no! I told him he had nothing to lose. He replied saying that he didn’t feel right or deserving, that he shouldn’t ask God at this point.

I told him that it’s exactly at this point that he should get on his knees and surrender to God. God knows all His children, especially during difficult times He expects us to draw near to Him.

In God’s realm there is no present, past or future, your life was mapped out for you, at birth. God has treasures stored up for you, all you have to do is claim them. “What better time to claim them than now,” I said. “But God doesn’t know me,” he said.

My point to all this is that God knows us by the hairs on our heads, He knows all our coming and goings, he knows us up close and personal. He wants us to ask and to ask big!!!!!! Isn’t He the God who breathed life into us? Isn’t He the God who  gave us the earth, mountains, sea etc…? The God who parted the Red Sea? The God who raised Jesus to new life? So what is the difficulty in God paying someone’s bills? Helping a person in  need? It’s a piece of cake for Him and you don’t even have had to earn it! Allow God to be your Father! What does a father want for his children?  He wants the best for them and the opportunity to help them when asked.  Prayers are answered when they’re prayed. All you have to do is have faith. GOD COULDN’T HAVE MADE IT ANY EASIER!!!!! We are children of the most high God, to a God of impossibilities who makes all things possible.

I  left saying that I would pray for him and then asked God to take care of business. That night I thanked God for the opportunity of serving Him because my life has been blessed in so many ways and it’s all because of Him.

Humble yourself before God and He will give you the desires of your heart.
